According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, early Saturday morning, a single-car crash on County Road 10, sent a 24-year-old man to the hospital with minor injuries.

Kameron Mathison, of Lewistown, was traveling west when he failed to negotiate a curve, sending his vehicle off the left side of the roadway.

The car then struck several small trees, two utility poles, and a large bush before coming to a stop in a nearby driveway.

Emergency responders from the Bellefontaine Fire Department arrived at the scene and transported Mathison to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.

Authorities suspect that alcohol use may have been a contributing factor in the crash.

Law enforcement is awaiting the results of a urine test to confirm the presence of alcohol or other substances in Mathison’s system.

Mathison was cited for failure to control his vehicle.

The incident remains under investigation, and officials have not yet determined the full extent of the circumstances surrounding the crash.
