A 42-year-old Lima woman was arrested early Saturday morning after Bellefontaine police say she was speeding, weaving across lanes, and showing signs of impairment.

Officers spotted a white Ford pickup truck traveling above the speed limit on South Main Street just before 2 AM.

According to the report, the truck crossed lane lines several times and was later clocked at 51 mph in a 35 mph zone.

The driver, identified as Sarah Verhoff, pulled into the Lowe’s parking lot after police initiated a traffic stop.

Officers said Verhoff appeared confused and repeatedly told them she was trying to get home to Lima.

She reportedly believed she was in Kenton, even though she was in Bellefontaine.

Police noted that many of her statements did not make sense and were unrelated to the questions being asked.

According to the report, Verhoff told officers she had taken a prescribed dose of Adderall earlier in the day.

Officers also noticed that she was speaking very rapidly, had trouble following instructions, and appeared disoriented.

Police conducted several field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Verhoff was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs (OVI).

She agreed to provide breath and urine samples.

The urine sample will be sent to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for testing.

Verhoff was transported to the Logan County Jail, and her vehicle was towed from the scene.
