Residents in Urbana should expect some minor traffic delays as the city Street Department begins asphalt repair work this week.
Crews will be working Monday, June 15, through Wednesday, June 17, weather permitting, on several streets throughout the ward. The work will take place in the following order:
- Mark Drive
- Park Lane
- Boyce Street
- Old Farm Road
- Ridgewood Avenue
- Jefferson Avenue
City officials say traffic may be maintained through work zones or temporarily re-routed depending on the location of repairs.
Motorists are encouraged to plan for slight traffic pattern changes and possible delays while crews complete the restoration work.
Residents are asked to use caution when traveling through construction areas and to allow extra time when driving near the affected streets.
