Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident at the intersection of US 33 and St Rt 235 in Lakeview Thursday afternoon.
A semi operated by Abrha Dawit, 28 of Aurora, Colorado, ran a red light while going east on US 33.
He struck a car driven by Lisa Shrider, 62 of Belle Center, who was traveling south on St Rt 235.
Shrider and her passenger, Dwight Shrider, were both transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Lakeview EMS for suspected minor injuries.
Dawit was not injured in the crash and was cited for traffic control devices.
His vehicle sustained light damage while the Shrider’s vehicle had heavy damage.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
