Voter Registration Deadline

As required by law, those who plan to exercise their right to vote in the August 8, 2023, Special Election, must be registered to vote at least thirty days before the election.

The deadline to register with the Board of Elections is July 10, 2023.

In addition, anyone who has moved since they last voted, and has not done a change of address with the Board of Elections, should do so by the same deadline.

Registrations forms are available at the Logan County Board of Elections, 225 S. Main Street, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311

Regular Business Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Friday

Special Voter Registration Hours: 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM on July 10, 2023

Registrations are also accepted by the following authorized agencies during their regular business hours:

  • Libraries: Knowlton District Library and Logan County District Libraries
  • Public Agencies: Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Department of Job and Family Services, Logan County Women, Infants, & Children Clinic, Logan & Champaign Counties Mental Health, Drug, and Alcohol Services, Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Logan County Treasurer, and the Ohio Secretary of State

Qualifications to Vote in the August 8, 2023, Special Election

  • Must be a US citizen

  • Must be a resident of Ohio for 30 days prior to the election

  • Must register to vote 30 days prior to the election

All in-person voting will be held at the Board of Elections office only. This will include all Absentee, Provisional, and Election Day voting.

No other polling locations will be open on August 8th. This location change is only for the August 8th Special Election.
