A pair of Washington Township Police officers helped make one young Lakeview girl’s day a little brighter with an unexpected act of kindness last week.
While on patrol in the Village of Lakeview, Sergeant Earl Wisener met a young girl who needed a new tire for her bicycle.
Rather than simply replacing the tire, Sergeant Wisener and Officer Chuck Wirick, with help from Officer Wirick’s wife, Janie, decided to surprise her with a brand-new bicycle instead.
The bike was delivered last week, and the department said her smile said it all.
In a social media post, Washington Township Police praised Sergeant Wisener and Officer Wirick for their generosity and thanked Janie for helping make the surprise possible.
The department said simple acts of kindness like this can make a lasting difference in the community.
