The Behind the Badge Citizens Academy, hosted by the sheriff, entered its second week with a focus on the vital functions of the communications center and crash scene investigation.

Last night’s session provided participants with an in-depth look at two key aspects of law enforcement operations.

In the second half of the evening, Deputy Jake Boyd, head of the Multi-County Crash Team, explained the process of reconstructing crash scenes.

Deputy Boyd detailed how his team uses various techniques and technologies to determine the factors contributing to traffic accidents, helping to provide clarity and justice in the aftermath of crashes.

The Behind the Badge Academy aims to give community members a deeper understanding of law enforcement work and foster a greater connection between residents and their local law enforcement.
