WL-S Superintendent Hissong updates board on upcoming field house

The West Liberty-Salem Board of Education met in regular session Wednesday evening.

Superintendent Kraig Hissong updated the board on the progress of the upcoming field house.

Next up on the agenda, the board approved the resignation of several employees, for the purpose of retirement.

Linda Herr, district transportation supervisor, will retire on January 31st, 2023.

Paraprofessional, Roxanne Kauffman will retire on Friday November 25.

Todd Lewis, high school math teacher, Tom Eickhoff, middle school PE/health teacher, and Cheryl Shank, high school French teacher will all retire at the end of this school year.

The board also approved two overnight trips for select students within the district. 8th-grade students will take a trip to Washington, D.C. on April 26th-28th, 2023.

FFA students will attend the “I am” conference in January on the 14th and 15th.

The West Liberty-Salem Board of Education will meet again on Wednesday, December 21 at 7 p.m. in the HS/MS media center.
