A woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon after she was found parked outside a closed coffee shop.
Just before 4:00 PM, Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies noticed a gray Honda Accord backed into a parking spot in front of the Brown Bean Coffee Shop on State Route 235 in Lakeview.
The business was closed at the time, deputies recognized the driver, April Tuttle, 36, of West Mansfield, from past encounters involving drug use.
When deputies approached, Tuttle was sitting in the driver’s seat with the door open, using a knife to pick at her foot.
Deputies knew that Tuttle had a history of drug use and asked to search the car.
During the search, a handbag was found containing a document with Tuttle’s name on it.
Also inside the bag was a glove containing a white substance and a plastic container with a folded paper.
Inside the paper was a crystal-like substance that looked like methamphetamine.
A field test confirmed the substance was indeed methamphetamine, weighing about half a gram.
Tuttle was arrested and taken to the Logan County Jail, where she was described as agitated and yelling at someone who wasn’t there.
She is being held for possession of methamphetamine and a probation violation.
