Local Volleyball Teams Make Their Mark in District Championships

The Benjamin Logan Volleyball team concluded an impressive season as the Division 4 District Runner-Up, despite falling to Archbishop McNicholas in a challenging three-set match.

The Raiders wrapped up the season with a strong 16-8 record, having claimed the title of Central Buckeye Conference Champions in the Mad River Division and Sectional Champions.

Meanwhile, Indian Lake’s volleyball season ended in the District Finals, where they were defeated by Mercy McAuley with scores of 11-25, 12-25, and 17-25.

The Lakers had a successful season overall, finishing with a record of 21-4.

Key performances in the final match included:

  • Kenzie Dixon: 8 kills and 12 digs
  • Halle Roby: Perfect 8/8 serving, 21 assists, and 5 digs
  • Cami Bailey: 5 kills on 11/13 hitting with 4 digs
  • Riley Ross: 9/10 serving, 19/22 serve receive, and 10 digs
  • Annie Rapp: 4/5 serving, 7/8 hitting with 5 kills and 4 digs
  • Courtney Altstaetter: 5 kills and 2 blocks on 13/16 hitting

Indian Lake finished the season 21-4, the second-best volleyball team record in school history, and advanced in the tournament to the district final game for the first time since 2007.

As the season wraps up, both teams have showcased remarkable talent and sportsmanship, earning respect and recognition within the community.
