The Benjamin Logan boys soccer team faced a tough challenge in the district semi-finals, losing to Johnathan Alder with a score of 8-0.
This defeat wraps up their season with a record of 9-6-5.
Coach Hughes reflected on the match, stating, “It wasn’t the way we thought the game was going to go, but they are an incredibly talented team who played really well tonight. We are super proud of our team and our seniors. Personally, I’ve been coaching these guys for 10-12 years, so it’s tougher to see it come to an end. As a dad, it’s bittersweet, but I love these guys and I’m excited to see what their future holds. I feel blessed to have been part of such a special group.”
Despite the loss, the team’s journey this season showcased their hard work and dedication.
Coach Hughes and the team will look forward to what lies ahead for their graduating seniors and returning players.
