Boys Hoops: Indian Lake & West Liberty-Salem Dominate

In high school boys basketball Friday night:

 

Indian Lake defeated Benjamin Logan 79-16.

Leading the Lakers was Camdon Tuttle netting 20 points and Caiden Nicol scored 19.

Senior Caiden Nicol broke the all-time record for points in a career at Indian Lake.

The record, 1,162 was previously held by Brian Gehle 1995-1998.

The Raiders were led by Camden Spriggs with 5 points

 

The Riverside boys played Miami East at home Friday.

The Freshman team lost 27-46.

  • Syler Clark- 16 points, 3 rebounds, and a block
  • Gave Steineman- 6 points and 3 steals
  • David Gross- 6 rebounds and 2 points

JV lost 40-50

  • Damien Smith-14 points and 3 steals
  • Houston Anderson- 9 points and 3 assists
  • Hayden Sanford- 6 points

Varsity lost 62-82

  • Gavin Orsborne- career-high 33 points
  • Ayden Clary- 14 points and 7 rebounds
  • Myles Platfoot- 7 points and 4 assists

 

The West Liberty-Salem Varsity (5-1 Overall and 5-0 OHC) defeated West Jefferson 53-16.

The Calvary Christian varsity Spartans dominated the Dominion Sabers in a league matchup, beating them 67-28.

Phil Davie was out in front shooting 19 points including 3 for 2 beyond the 3-point arc.

He also pulled down 7 rebounds and had 3 steals.

Wyatt Schlatter was another key contributor with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals.

Zeeke Wylie added 13 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal.

Charles Krumm led in rebounds with 8 and also chipped in 5 points.

Their OVCC record bumped up to 4-0 and their overall record is 5-2.

 

The JV Spartans defeated the Dominion Sabers 43-19 in a league game.

Christian Rogan was the leading scorer with 12 points.

Daniel Young shot 10 points and had 7 rebounds.

Evan Schmidt added 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Nehemiah Dillon chipped in 6 points and had 5 rebounds.

Their record in the OVCC is 3-0 and their overall record is 4-3.
