ILMS Boys Bounce Back with Win; Girls Split Results at Graham

The Indian Lake 7th grade boys basketball team bounced back Wednesday with a victory against the Graham Falcons 36-24, after an early 8-0 deficit. Issac Roberts, Kendrick Harris, and Callen McClelland were key defensive standouts, while Mason Berg contributed several blocks and 9 points. Miller Hall led the charge offensively, finishing with 20 points. Colt Volbrecht added 3 points, and Kaiden Lacher and Fletcher Brown each chipped in 2. The Lakers will travel to Jackson Center on Saturday morning to face the Tigers.

Indian Lake 8th Grade Boys Also Defeat Graham

The Indian Lake 8th grade boys basketball team defeated Graham by the final score of 44-37.  The win makes it four in a row to start the season.  The game was close throughout and it took a total team effort to close out the victory.  Rush Hurley scored 14 points including a half-court buzzer-beater right before the half.  He also went 5 for 6 from the free throw line in the 4th quarter to help seal the win.  Nixon Lillard also scored 14 points while also playing a key role in the defensive effort.  Alex Tussing also scored double digits by contributing 10 points in scoring.  Cohen Brown and Reid Roberts rounded out the scoring by contributing 3 points each.  Kirk Beres and Cole McClelland were also big contributors by getting key rebounds and aiding in the defensive effort throughout the game.  They will next play at Jackson Center on Saturday at 10 am.

Indian Lake 7th Grade Girls Basketball Edges Out Graham

The Indian Lake 7th grade girls basketball team secured a narrow 18-16 victory against Graham in a tightly contested matchup. Addison Headings led the team with 8 points and 6 steals, while Abby Bihn contributed 4 points, 6 steals, and 6 rebounds. Caroline Jones also had a strong outing, scoring 4 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Samantha Altstaetter added 2 points and 6 rebounds to the team’s effort.

Indian Lake 8th Grade Girls Basketball Falls to Graham

The Indian Lake 8th grade girls basketball team struggled in their matchup against Graham, falling 38-21. Kyler Carruthers led the team with 10 points and 5 rebounds, while McKayle Clary scored 5 points. Laura Metzger contributed 3 points and 5 rebounds, Karlee Taylor added 2 points, and Audra Harford finished with 1 point. Claire Tidwell was a key presence on the boards, grabbing 11 rebounds.
