Indian Lake’s Cross Country teams started their season with a competitive showing at the OHSAA Preseason Invite held Saturday.
The girls’ team finished in 27th place overall. Reagan Rash earned a medal for her performance, placing 30th with a time of 21:11. Alicia Brielmaier crossed the finish line in 127th place with a time of 25:00, followed by Evie Wagner in 153rd place at 25:32. Kayleigh Taylor and Haley Metzger finished in 246th and 248th places, respectively, with times of 29:27 and 29:36.
The boys’ team placed 43rd in the event. Will Faler was the top finisher for the boys, securing 197th place with a time of 21:16. Bryan Mohler finished 228th at 22:07, Cason Lacher came in 246th with a time of 22:45, Caleb Altstaetter was 273rd with a 24:26 finish, and Daniel Wahl finished 284th in 26:55.
The Lakers will continue their season next Saturday at the meet hosted by Milton Union.
