The Indian Lake Middle School girls’ basketball teams started their season on a high note with victories over Riverside on Saturday.
The 8th-grade Lady Lakers secured a 32-21 win. Makayle Clary led the team with 15 points, while Claire Tidwell contributed 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 steals. Laura Metzger added 3 points and 3 assists, Kyler Carruthers scored 2 points and dished out 4 assists, and Audra Harford contributed 2 points and 7 rebounds in the victory.
The 7th grade Lady Lakers also emerged victorious, winning 14-8. Abby Bihn led the team with 7 points and 4 steals. Caroline Jones grabbed 9 rebounds and scored 2 points, while Teighan Mackesy added 2 points and 7 rebounds. Samantha Altstaetter scored 2 points and pulled down 5 rebounds, and Addison Headings contributed 1 point and 5 steals.
