Lady Chieftain Bowlers Move on to State

The Bellefontaine Lady Chieftain bowlers Haylee Rutherford, Haylee Yelton, Chloe Heminger, Nevaeh LaFollette, Avery Mullins, and Gracie Hood bowled Thursday in the D1 district bowling tournament at Beaver Vu Bowl.

The tournament format was three regular games, 6 Baker and total pins were the determining factors for placement.

Leading the Chiefs was Gracie Hood with games of 176, 258, and 234 for a 668 series.

Hood had the 2nd highest series of the tournament and made the All-Tournament Team.

Chloe Heminger had games of 197, 146, and 202 for 545 series.

Haylee Yelton had games of 158, 161, and 226 for a 545 series.

Haylee Rutherfrod added a 197 game and Nevaeh LaFollette added a 177 game.

They bowled team games of 905, 849, and 928 for a total of 2682.

Baker games included 154, 253, 180, 185, 165, and 183 for a total of 1130.

Together the Chiefs scored a total pinfall of 3802.

They will bowl again next Saturday in the State Tournament at HP Lanes in Columbus.
