Lady Pirates, Tigers and Cardinals Net Wins Over Weekend

The JV Lady Pirates beat the Bethel Bees 43-1 on Saturday.

Emilee Robinson led the pirates with 15 while Maddie Lemly and Shaye McGill each had 8 for the pirates.

The JV lady pirates are now 3-0.

The varsity girls won 48-32.

Riverside was up 10-6 in the first quarter but the Bees came roaring back and took a lead at halftime 15-18.

The Pirates then dominated the second half going up in the third 28-22 and then winning the game 48-32 in the fourth.

Emma Saylor led the Pirates in scoring with 21 points while Aubree Huston chipped in 8.

The varsity lady pirates are now 1-2 and 1-0 in conference play.

The West Liberty-Salem girls knocked down West Jefferson 60-20 on Saturday.

Leading the Tigers was Lilly Weaver scoring 17 points.

Megan Hollar added 16 points, Chaley Wade 12, Ava Astroino 9, Maddie Cole 4, and Bailey Poppe netted 2 points.

The JV ladies defeated West Jefferson 21-13.

Leading the Tigers was Maddie McGill scoring 7 points.

 

 

The Triad Varsity girls played at Northeastern Saturday afternoon in a Varsity-only contest.

Triad won 45-16.

For the Cardinals, Abbey Overfield had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Mia LeMay also had a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Ashlyn McCoy had 14 rebounds and 6 points.

Emma Ferguson had 4 assists, and Kaley Nott added 3 assists and 4 points.

Gracie Martin had 5 points.

Triad will play Monday at Fairlawn in a Varsity only contest at 6:00 pm.
