The Indian Lake Cross Country team competed at Fortress Obetz in the preseason opener on Saturday.
The team executed the race plan and ran even splits throughout the race.
For the girls KaiLea Miller was 76th 23:00, Evie Wagner was 77th 23:02, Hannah Metzger was 80th 23:08, Alicia Brielmaier was 174th 25:41, Makayla Motter was 196th 26:22, Kayleigh Taylor was 219th 27:36, Haley Metzger was 221st 27:47, and Maggie Reese was 261st. 30:44.
The girls team placed 18th out of 31 teams.
For the boys Grant McPherson was 110th 19:24, Titus Kelly was 214th 21:41, Tony Cummins was 242nd 22:22, Daniel Wahl was 253rd 22:41, Caleb Altstaetter was 283rd 23:48, and Owen Pummel was 332nd 29:29.
The boys team placed 38th of 41 teams.
The Lakers run next at Milton Union next Saturday.
