Thirty-two years flew by for Ann Vogel.
The West Liberty-Salem legend hung up her whistle at the beginning of June as her girl’s track and field team took 5th place at the state meet.
Overall, in her career, she saw her teams earn three state titles (one in cross country and two in track and field) and many other accomplishments.
Vogel keeps up with many of her past athletes and said it’s not uncommon for them to call and update her on what’s happening in their lives.
Fifteen of her past students are now or have been, coaches themselves.
