The wind chill was cold and the bats of the West Liberty – Salem Tigers were also Monday night as the Lady Tigers fell to the visiting Fairbanks Panthers, 13-5.

Both teams opened the matchup with a quick 3 runs each in the first 3 innings, but it was all Fairbanks after that.

Senior Macy Kise led the Panthers from the mound, where she held the Lady Tigers in check for the rest of the game.

Kennedy Wallace went 3-4 at the plate and Audrey Collins knocked in 4 runs on 2 hits including a home run in the bottom of the 7th.

The Lady Tigers return to action on Tuesday with the hopes of gaining some revenge against the Panthers in Fairbanks.

The first pitch is at 5 pm.

Also in action Monday night: Mechanicsburg at West Jefferson was postponed due to field conditions.
