A member of the Zanesfield Petanque Club recently played in the Men’s World Championship Doubles Qualifier in Lake Worth, Florida earlier this month.
Ziggy Kessouagni teamed up with Damien Monnet, from Sonoma, California, to battle against 21 other teams from all over the country trying to qualify for a chance to be the USA Representative to play in Benin later this year.
On Saturday, March 4 during the qualifying rounds, Team Ziggy went 3-2 to rank 8th.
The top 12 teams moved on to pool play on Sunday.
Team Ziggy won both their pool games to rank 5th with the top 8 moving on to bracket play.
Team Ziggy would fall in their semi-final game 6-10 on time to finish 3rd in the World Double Qualifier.
