BLMS breaks three school records, BMS competes at the Mechanicsburg MS Invite

The Benjamin Logan and Bellefontaine middle school track and field teams both competed at the Mechanicsburg Mid-Season Invite, facing a deep field of 20 teams. Benjamin Logan turned in a strong overall showing with top-three finishes on both the boys’ and girls’ side, highlighted by multiple record-breaking performances and event wins. Bellefontaine also had solid efforts across relays and field events, picking up several scoring finishes in a competitive meet.

Benjamin Logan Middle School Boys – 3rd Place (Mechanicsburg Mid-Season Invite)
The Raiders finished 3rd out of 20 teams behind a big day in the relays and several key individual performances. The 4×800 relay team of Cayde Buck, Marshall Elliott, Quinn Kuba, and Bentley Harrat placed 2nd in 9:50.43, breaking a school record in the process. Benjamin Logan struck again in the 4×200 relay, where Stone Angles, Santiago Solano, Nevada Coleman, and Carter Crumm ran 1:41.27 to take 3rd and set another school record.

Charlie Buffkin led the way individually with a 1st-place finish in the pole vault, while Carter Crumm added a 3rd-place finish in the 400 meters. The Raiders continued to pile up points with a 4th-place finish in the 4×100 relay and a 5th-place finish in the 4×400 relay, along with strong depth across multiple events that helped secure a top-three team finish.

Benjamin Logan Middle School Girls – 4th Place (Mechanicsburg Mid-Season Invite)
The Lady Raiders finished 4th overall, led by a standout day from Pippa Zvansky, who won both the 800 meters and 200m hurdles. Her performance in the hurdles was especially impressive, as she set a school record with a time of 29.95.

Isabella Wohlgamuth added a 4th-place finish in the long jump, while the 4×200 relay team also placed 4th to contribute key points. Liberati Walters finished 5th in the 100 hurdles, and Kali Shirk added a 5th-place finish in the pole vault. Jazmine McGue rounded out the individual scoring with a 6th-place finish in the 400 meters, while both the 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams helped keep the Lady Raiders competitive throughout the meet.

Bellefontaine Middle School Girls – 5th Place (Mechanicsburg Invitational)
The Lady Chiefs turned in a strong performance, finishing 5th out of 19 teams in a competitive field.

Annie Gallaway led the way in the throws, placing 2nd in discus and 4th in shot put, while Braelynn Neer added a 3rd-place finish in discus and 6th in shot. On the track, Gianna Davis had a standout meet, finishing 2nd in the 400 meters and taking 3rd in both the 100 and 200.

Additional points came from Skylar Rutherford with an 8th-place finish in the 400 meters and Kylie Lowe, who placed 8th in the 1600, helping round out a strong team showing.

Bellefontaine Middle School Boys – 12th Place (Mechanicsburg Invitational)
The Chiefs were led by Ean Fultz, who had a strong showing in the throws, placing 3rd in discus and 5th in shot put. Bellefontaine also picked up relay points, with the 4×400 team finishing 6th, the 4×800 relay taking 8th, and the 4×100 relay also placing 8th in a competitive field.

In the field events, Bennett Lang added a 5th-place finish in the pole vault, while Camden Vollrath also scored in the event with an 8th-place finish. Competing against a deep 20-team field, the Chiefs managed several scoring performances across events in a solid overall effort.
