Strike! West Liberty-Salem and Benjamin Logan teams roll to victory

Monday night, the West Liberty-Salem girls team defeated Triad with a match total of 2,145 to Triad’s 1,565.

Leading the way for the Tigers was Elli Ullery with a 216 game, Alyssa Mueller with 180, and Lilly Gearheart with 172.

The Tigers’ overall record is now 8-3 and 4-2 in the OHC Conference.

The West Liberty-Salem boys team won 2,398 to Triad’s 2,080.

Luke Thomas led with a 195, followed by Evan Borgerding with a 192 and Zander Gluckle with a 190.

Devon Jones added 191, and Tucker Searles contributed 171.

The boys are now 7-5 overall and 3-3 in the OHC Conference.

For the JV team, Austin Markin rolled a 142, Patrick Brooks had 130, Carson Instine finished with 189, Xzavior Nicholl posted a 143, and Jerome Cordrey added a 144.

 

The Benjamin Logan Raiders varsity team won against Riverside, finishing with 2,804 pins to Riverside’s 2,505.

Leading the Raiders was Jarrett Buckenroth with a 446 series (215 and 231 games), followed by Nate Davis with a 411 series (192 and 219).

Landon Stoodt contributed a 396 series (190 and 206), Dylan Stewart rolled a 381 series (158 and 223), and Caleb Knight added a 361 series (172 and 189).

Cooper Crouch led Riverside with a 470 series (222 and 248 games), and Zavier Herron added a 210 game.

The Raiders won 3 out of 4 Baker games.

Ben Logan is now 13-2 in the CBC and 14-2 overall with two regular-season matches remaining.

Ben Logan’s JV squad also won, with 2,223 pins to Riverside’s 1,775.

Conner Chambers led with a personal-best 400 series, including a 230 game.

Wyatt Levan posted a 348 series (181 and 167), Jace Lyons rolled a 298 series (151 and 147), Pierce Jenkins had a 271 series (112 and 159), and Colton Klopfenstein added a 270 series (144 and 126).

The JV team is now 10-4 on the season.

For the Pirates, Jackson Linet led with a 350 series and a 203 game.
