BHS girls track and field team compete at State meet

The Bellefontaine High School girls’ track and field team participated in the D2 State Track and Field Meet on Friday.

Kelsie Snapp placed 4th in the discus with a toss of 135 feet. Her 2nd toss of the finals was her best as she jumped from 8th to 2nd place.
“Kelsie did a great job today,” said throws coach Jim Robinson. “When she needed a big throw, she dug deep and nailed it. She’s absolutely amazing to work with, and I am very proud of her 4th place finish today.”

100 Hurdles- Callie Shumaker advanced to the 1:00 PM Saturday Finals with a 14.91, 6th-seeded time. Teammate Kylie Adams just missed by a tenth of a second to qualify with her 11th-place 15.26. (Top 9 advance to finals)

300 Hurdles- both Callie Shumaker and Kylie Adams qualified for Saturday’s finals. Shumaker has the 3rd fastest time of 44.6, and Adam’s 45.48 is the 5th fastest.

On Saturday, Kelsie Snapp (shot), Kylie Adams (long jump), Grace Brown (1600), and Ayden Clary (discus) will compete as well.
