Update:
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle crash shut down U.S. 33 near Huntsville in both directions Monday morning for about two hours.
The crash happened around 7:40 a.m. at Township Road 221.
According to the crash report, a 2018 Chevrolet 2500HD operated by 94-year-old Dale Stanley of Belle Center was stopped at Township Road 221 when he attempted to cross U.S. 33.
His truck struck a 2016 Ford Escape driven by 66-year-old Michelle Suerdick of Russells Point, who was traveling eastbound on U.S. 33.
Both drivers were taken to Lima Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Indian Lake EMS and the Huntsville Volunteer Fire Department provided transport.
Stanley was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Shafers Towing and Hogans.
Bellefontaine Fire and EMS, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol also responded.

The cause of the crash has not been released.
Troopers are expected to provide more details as the investigation continues.
