Friday at around 10 pm, the Bellefontaine Police Department received a report that an employee at Smokablez, Thariq Al-Jahmi, sold a THC vape cartridge to an underage employee. The information was shared during a compliance check on local businesses.

Al-Jahmi admitted to selling the vape cartridge without asking the buyer for any identification. He told police he “forgot.”

He was charged with the illegal distribution of tobacco or alternative products and issued a summons. The vape cartridge was also seized.

He was first arrested in April after police discovered that Smokablez was selling illegal cartridges to juveniles and distributing the cartridges out of the store. He was charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of marijuana, and possession of hashish.
