Christopher Hirsch, 46, of Lakeview, was arrested Monday evening after a domestic violence incident in Lakeview.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to State Route 235 shortly after 7:00 p.m. after a woman reported that Hirsch assaulted her during an argument.

The woman told deputies that Hirsch was upset because she decided not to buy him a legal pill sold at convenience stores.

She said the two were driving when Hirsch became angry and repeatedly tried to make her wreck the vehicle.

According to the report, Hirsch grabbed the woman’s arm hard enough to leave a red mark and cause pain.

She then stopped the vehicle and told him to get out.

After getting out of the vehicle, Hirsch allegedly punched a rear passenger window, leaving a mark on the glass.

A short time later, deputies found Hirsch walking along State Route 235.

He told deputies that he and the woman had been arguing and admitted to punching the vehicle’s window.

The woman also told deputies there had been previous incidents of violence between the two.

Hirsch was arrested and taken to the Logan County Jail.

He was charged with fourth-degree felony domestic violence because of a previous domestic violence conviction in Arkansas.

Washington Township Police assisted deputies at the scene.
