Indian Lake High School has named its final Seniors of the Month for the 2025/2026 school year, Deric Barth and Lilly Wickline.

Daric Barth is the son of Kevin and Nikki Barth of Huntsville.

School activities and awards: Key Club, National Honor Society (NHS), National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), Science Club, Spanish Club, Chorale, and Laker Leadership Council

If I were principal for a day: I’d probably do another volleyball tournament.

Favorite school memory: I don’t have a specific memory, but I have really enjoyed choir this year and our 8th period being a teacher assistant, alongside my friends, for Mrs. Notestine.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: I’m inspired by my grandma, because she never talks bad about anyone, always has something positive or encouraging to say, and is the kindest person I’ve ever met. My mom is always there for me, no matter what it is. My dad, because he and I always have good conversations, and he understands me well.

Lately I’ve been reading: The Bible

My advice to parents: Strive to understand your kids. Talk to them, listen to them, and give them valuable advice instead of criticism.

My biggest regret: I regret not being as involved as I could’ve been earlier on. I didn’t join choir until my senior year, and I missed out on a lot of fun opportunities. Also, not running for much.

Next year I will be: Hopefully, working a full-time job while also attending college at Ohio University online.

Lilly Wickline is the daughter of Gabe and Hillary Wickline of Huntsville.

School activities and awards: Volleyball, Student United Way, Meistersingers, Vocal Jazz, Choir (Soprano Section Leader), Musical, National Honor Society, Key Club, SADD (Treasurer), Science Club, Rotary Honors, Honor Roll

If I were principal for a day: I would let students have a free day and have their phones.

Favorite school memory: My favorite memory is being Lady Larkin in this year’s musical, Once Upon A Mattress.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My parents, siblings, past teachers (Mrs. Ruhe and Mrs. Brademeyer), and Issac and Erin Bennett.

Lately I’ve been reading: Every Summer After by Carley Fortune

My advice to parents: Encourage your kids to step out of their comfort zone, support them in everything they do, and be understanding.

My biggest regret: I regret not being more outgoing before this year and not always living in the moment.

Next year I will be: Studying Echocardiography at the University of Findlay.
