Tuesday evening, Bellefontaine Police responded to McDonald’s on North Main Street.

An employee called the police when they noticed a woman outside the restaurant “nodding out”.

Officers observed a woman, later identified as Bree Jones, 32, of Belle Center, nodding off when they approached her.

She claimed she was falling asleep because she walked several blocks to the restaurant and that it was hot outside.

Jones was fidgeting with her clothing when a metal straw fell out of her pocket and hit the ground.

Officers then asked her what else she was hiding, and she pulled out another metal straw.

When she did that, foil fell out of her pocket.

Jones admitted to officers that fentanyl had been in the foil and she had taken it before they arrived.

She admitted that she had more foil in the front of her underwear.

When officers searched her to place her under arrest, they located the foil.

Jones was arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of drug abuse instruments.

She was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
