Long-time Bellefontaine High School Band Director, Jeremy Karg resigned over the weekend.

In an e-mail received by parents via FinalForms Saturday, Clifton Core, Bellefontaine Administration told parents,  “This weekend we learned that Mr. Karg intends to resign for purposes of retirement, effective Sept 1. As of today (Saturday), he will no longer be involved with the band program. Our admin. team has begun to work diligently on a plan to replace Mr. Karg.”

When contacted Jeremy Karg, he refrained and said, “No Comment.” when asked why he would suddenly retire.

Bellefontaine City Schools Superintendent Brad Hall states, “Jeremy Karg made the personal decision to resign due to retirement effective September 1.”

Karg has been a band director in Logan County for over 30 years, with the past 15 plus being with the Bellefontaine City School District. He was a director at Indian Lake High School prior to being at Bellefontaine.
