Sunday morning, Bellefontaine Police Officers were called to a home on Kristina Drive.
A man later identified as Charles Thurman, 36, of Bellefontaine, said he was going to kill a woman, and then himself.
Officers spoke with the victim and her mother.
They said they tried to leave the apartment when Thurman got mad and stood in front of the door, holding up a knife.
Officers arrived on the scene and found Thurman locked in a bedroom.
He was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail where he was charged with kidnapping and aggravated menacing.
