WHEREAS, the City of Bellefontaine, Ohio, is the highest point in the state, proudly standing as the pinnacle of Ohio’s landscape; and
WHEREAS, Bellefontaine is a historically rich and vibrant community, with roots dating back to its role as a former radar base that, during the Cold War, was used to track Santa Claus’s journey around the world, adding a touch of holiday magic to its legacy; and
WHEREAS, Bellefontaine’s unique location and warm-hearted spirit have made it a beloved destination, especially during the holiday season, where its festive atmosphere, charming shops, and inviting streets make it an exceptional place to visit and enjoy the magic of Christmas; and
WHEREAS, Bellefontaine’s wonderful selection of local businesses offers unparalleled opportunities for holiday shopping, creating a memorable experience for all who seek the perfect gift for their loved ones; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, David A. Crissman, Mayor of Bellefontaine, Ohio, do hereby proclaim the City of Bellefontaine as the Christmas Capital of Ohio, inviting all to experience the warmth, charm, and joy of our community during this holiday season and beyond.
