BHS hosts Fall Choir Festival

Bellefontaine High School hosted the Fall Choir Festival in the main gym Thursday night. A large crowd was entertained by five local schools.

The Bellefontaine Concert Choir opened the show with their rendition of  “Catch a Falling Star” and “Hold Back the River.” They were followed by the Jackson Center High School Choir, Calvary Christian High School Choir, West Liberty-Salem Varsity Choir, and Indian Lake Chorale.

The Bellefontaine Symphonic Choir performed the processional “Dance Alleluia” along with “One Short Day,” “O Love,” and “Voice Dance III.” Flute soloist Addison Colbert delivered an outstanding performance. Jane Martin was the accompanist for the Bellefontaine Symphonic Choir.

Brice Henry is the director of the BHS Concert Choir and Symphonic Choir. He said, “I think the evening went very smoothly. All of the choirs are very talented and it just shows that music is very strong in our area.”

The final selection featured the six choirs teaming up to perform “The Lord Bless You and Keep You.”

BHS choir and orchestra members are now preparing for their holiday concert on Thursday, December 19th.
