The Bellefontaine Police Department hosted its 5th Citizens Academy session Thursday evening.
The 11th class learned about identifying narcotics with Detective Jake Siekierka.
Later in the session, students learned the importance of protecting their credit & how to avoid identity theft, internet safety, and the process of investigating homicides and suicides.
Next week the class will learn about the BPDCA Alumni Association, Crisis Intervention, mental health, and traffic crash investigations. The class will also see an active shooter presentation.
