The Chippewa Outreach Center is proud to announce the addition of a new Gaga Ball Pit, a project made possible through the extraordinary support of the local community.

The initiative gained momentum following a successful fundraiser organized by Kevin Campbell on July 5th. With $7,000 raised from the annual kayak event Campbell led, along with a significant donation from the Jimmy Moore Indian Lake Community Fund, the funds were allocated to install the Gaga Ball Pit—a dynamic and engaging sport akin to dodgeball.

To ensure the pit’s durability and address the frequent flooding issues in the area, a concrete pad was required. This challenge was met thanks to the generosity of Ohio Ready-Mix, who donated the concrete, and Lamb Coate Contracting Company, which provided both expertise and labor for site preparation.

Drew Shick, Director at Chippewa Center, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the community’s involvement: “We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our community. Thanks to the collective efforts of individuals and businesses, we can enhance our facilities and offer more activities for the children.”

Chippewa Center is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and families. To celebrate this new addition, the center invites everyone to their Back to School event on Saturday, August 10th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Nazarene Church in Lakeview.
