Dean Larocco, 35, of Columbus, was arrested for OVI early Saturday morning.
Bellefontaine Police saw Larocco run a red light at the intersection of South Madriver Street and Chillicothe Avenue.
When they stopped him they noticed several signs of impairment.
Larocco admitted to officers that he had consumed two beers and two shots at a Bellefontaine bar.
He failed several field sobriety tests.
Larocco was placed under arrest and transported to the Bellefontaine Police Department.
Once at the station, he consented to a breath test and blew a BAC of 0.133, almost two times the legal limit.
He was charged with two counts of OVI and one count of obeying traffic control devices.
When Larocco’s sister arrived at the Bellefontaine Police Department to pick him up, he requested to be transferred to the Logan County Jail rather than her care.
He was then transported to the Logan County Jail where he was lodged on his charges.
