The DeGraff Village Council met in regular session Tuesday evening.

The Buckeye State Bank asked the council to add an on-street handicapped parking space in front of the bank. Several bank customers are handicapped, and they believe a designated spot would be largely beneficial. A motion came before the council to add a handicapped parking space on Hayes Street, just in front of the bank. The motion was passed, and a sign will be placed in the near future marking the spot as handicap parking only.

The Logan County Commissioners recently granted $750,000 to the Village of DeGraff for revitalization. Mayor Stephanie Orsborne explains how the funds will be used:

Letters of notice have been sent to four properties that are in village code violation. These properties will need to be brought up to code in the very near future.

The council moved on to take the following action:

  • Accepted resignation of Brad Fleck, a village Police Officer
  • Passed Ordinance 2023-34: Ohio Model Flood Damage Reduction Regulations

The next DeGraff Village Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 3 at 7 p.m.
