Discovery Riders Annual Fundraiser Achieves Outstanding Success

Discovery Riders’ much-anticipated annual fundraiser, Blues at the Barn, held on Saturday night at The Linda Laine Hauck Equestrian Center near Bellefontaine, was a resounding success. The event attracted nearly 200 supporters and generated thousands of dollars to support the organization’s mission of providing transformative equine-assisted activities and therapies.

The fundraiser, which featured a vibrant blues music performance, created a festive and engaging atmosphere. Attendees enjoyed a night of live music, great food, and community spirit, underscoring their commitment to Discovery Riders’ cause. The funds raised will significantly contribute to enhancing the lives of students and families through safe and effective equine-assisted lessons and therapies.

Discovery Riders is dedicated to offering love, support, encouragement, and valuable life lessons through their innovative programs. The success of Blues at the Barn is a testament to the strong backing and dedication of the community.

Key staff members at the event included Lindsay Jackson, Executive Director; Harlie McClintick, Program Coordinator and Instructor. They were joined by a committed board of directors, including Matt Dolph (President), Jon Bodin (Vice President), April King (Secretary), Bill Boy (Treasurer), Rick Hauck, Peter Stolly, Jessica Simmons, Jacob Estes, Kelli Bader & Jon Wackerman.

Others who are part of Discovery Riders who were in attendance and helped with the event included: Clay Barnard, Kelly Powers, Monica Young, Mark McClintick, Diana McClintick, Beth Powers, Linda Brogan, Bill Brogan, Landen Jackson, Sam Jackson, Brenda Jackson, Aspen King, and TJ Grose.
