Friday evening the Bellefontaine Fire Department responded to a two-story home within the city for a fire report.
When crews arrived on the scene the fire was contained to one room and its contents.
Two dogs were reportedly inside the home, one dog was rescued and the other was already out when firefighters arrived.
The fire was extinguished within minutes.
Off-duty personnel were called into the fire station to cover other calls if needed.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
