After what they thought was going to be their final year, members of the East Liberty Community came together to continue their Independence Day Celebration tradition.
In 2023, the committee that handles all the details didn’t think that they would be able to continue, but several community members stepped up and said they didn’t want to see the events stop.
What takes a year of planning and fundraising is set to kick off this Saturday at Perry Park, East Liberty.
Activities that will keep you busy include:
- 11 AM- Parade line up at Church of Christ
- Noon- Parade begins
- 1-6 PM- Kids Carnival (Bounce house, bean bag toss, ring toss, hotdog eating contest face painting, Plinko, and more. $10 for an all-day bounce house pass (1-6 pm) and .50 a ticket for games.)
- 4 PM- Cornhole tournament
- 6 PM- DJ Pine and Cake Walk
- 50/50- All day
- Vendors- All Day
- 10 PM-Fireworks
