Late Thursday, Logan County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a home outside of Bellefontaine about an active 911 call.

Dispatch told deputies that children could be heard in the background of the call and they could also hear an argument between a man and a woman.

Upon arrival at the home, authorities were able to identify John Fox, 44 of Bellefontaine, and the victim.

Fox said that there was no emergency and explained that he had been on the couch when the victim began to argue with him.

The victim told deputies that Fox had come home intoxicated, and continued to drink more.

She then moved her toddlers away from him when he “snatched her up” and dragged her down the hallway.

He then began to punch her in the head, grabbed her by the throat, and squeezed.

This caused her to “blackout”.

She then kicked him and took her children to a bedroom, in an attempt to get away from Fox.

He then broke down the bedroom door.

Fox was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail where he was lodged for Domestic Violence and Strangulation.
