Friday, just after 3 PM, officers from the Russells Point Police Department responded to an accident at the intersection of US 33 and Sunnyside Ave for a two-vehicle crash.
Officers learned Taylor Karbowiak, 18 of Russells Point, was traveling west on US 33 and stopped waiting to make a left turn onto Sunnyside Avenue.
Samuel Huber, 40 of Lakeview, was also traveling west and struck Karbowiak’s vehicle.
Both vehicles suffered heavy damage.
Karbowiak was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Indian Lake EMS where she was treated for her injuries.
Huber was not injured and was cited for Assured Cleared Distance.
