Charley Hardman’s artwork “The Sunny Field” was selected as the winner of the Fourth Congressional District, earning the honor of having her piece displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
This recognition is a testament to Charley’s exceptional creativity and skill nurtured under the guidance of Benjamin Logan High School’s visual arts instructor, Mrs. Jennifer Davis.
Sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives and supported by Congressman Jim Jordan, this competition offered students the opportunity to have their artwork showcased in the Cannon Tunnel connecting the Cannon House Office Building to the Capitol.
As the Fourth Congressional District winner, Charley received two complimentary airfare tickets to visit the exhibition this week, accompanied by her father.
Reflecting on her experience, Charley shared, “I had a great time in DC and I’m so glad I got the opportunity to go, thank you so much for everything!”
