A Logan County man was arrested Monday evening after deputies say he threatened a roommate during an argument at a home near the Auglaize County line outside of Lakeview.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a residence on Township Road 86 around 5:30 p.m. for a reported domestic dispute.
When deputies arrived, the victim told them 42-year-old Brian Hill had been yelling and threatened to “bash his brains in.”
The victim also said Hill had aggressively approached him during the confrontation.
Deputies spoke with Hill, who said he was upset because his roommate would not take him fishing, which led to the argument.
After investigating, deputies arrested Hill without incident and transported him to the Logan County Jail, where he was charged with domestic violence.
The report states deputies have responded to the residence multiple times in the past involving Hill.
It also notes concerns about his ongoing mental health struggles.
According to deputies, Hill was previously arrested in another domestic violence case involving the same roommate, who resulted in the victim suffering a broken finger.
Hill remains in custody at the Logan County Jail.
The case will be reviewed by prosecutors for further proceedings.
