58-year-old Patricia Hoge, of Russells Point, was arrested after an assault Friday night in Russells Point.
According to the Russells Point Police Department, officers were called to an apartment on Lincoln Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. for a reported assault.
Washington Township officers also assisted at the scene.
Officers found the victim with a swollen and cut right eye, with blood coming from the injury.
She told police Hoge had come to her home uninvited and was heavily intoxicated.
A broken glass cup was found at the scene.
A witness told officers they saw Hoge approach the victim, yell at her, make threats, and attempt to hit her.
The witness said Hoge punched the victim and then used a glass cup to hit her in the head.
Officers later found Hoge at her home.
Police reported a strong smell of alcohol coming from her.
Hoge denied being involved in the incident.
The victim later positively identified Hoge as the person who assaulted her.
Hoge was arrested and taken to the Logan County Jail.
She is facing a first-degree misdemeanor assault charge.
