Becky Snavley, a 48-year-old employee in the radiology department at Mary Rutan Hospital, was arrested late last week while at work.

The arrest stemmed from an out-of-county warrant, which was followed by additional charges after a search revealed felony drug offenses.

Bellefontaine Police officers, in collaboration with hospital security, located Snavley at the hospital and informed her of the active warrant.

A search of her belongings turned up several medications that had been prescribed to someone else.

Snavley explained that the medications belonged to her late aunt, for who she had been the primary caregiver and held power of attorney.

The medications found included Alprazolam, Oxycodone, Hydroxide, and an unidentified yellow pill.

Most of these drugs had been prescribed to her aunt, who passed away a month ago.

Snavley told officers she had not disposed of the medications after her aunt’s death.

Officers also discovered several cards belonging to her late aunt and another individual in her belongings.

Snavley was taken to the Logan County Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
