HomeLocal NewsIndian Lake State Park Opens Registration for Solar EclipseIndian Lake State Park Opens Registration for Solar EclipseSat, September 30, 2023 by April KingSHARE NOW The Indian Lake State Park campground will open full registration this Sunday for the April 8th, 2024 Solar Eclipse date.The Logan County EMA expects that the population will double or triple in the days before the Eclipse, as we are right in the prime viewing area.If you are interested in booking a campsite on this date, here are a few things you need to know:The campground expects to sell out very quicklyA booking restriction has been placed in the reservation system that will not allow for any reservations with an arrival date or a departure date of April 8, 2024Customers will not be able to book any shelters for April 8, 2024First date availableFor date of arrival Sections in the campground openNOTES9/26/2023 *booking before this date, you will miss the eclipse3/26/2023A section only14-day reservation includes April 8th10/1/20234/1/2023All sections are now openThere may not be any water available yet for Restrooms /Shower houses /full-hook-up sites – please plan accordinglyReservations can be made up to 6 months from the date of arrival.Reservations can be made for up to 14 nights.Watch your dates, because if the reservation is booked on Sept 25, 2023, for March 25, 2023, you will miss the eclipse.We aren’t allowing April 8 departures, the earliest a customer can book to be in the campground for the eclipse date is from March 26 to April 9, which would be 14 nights.Due to cold weather, some amenities will be limited at Indian Lake State ParkPotable water will be available at the Welcome Center dump station, the water tower, and behind the commissary.Restrooms & shower houses may not be open yet due to cold weather, if not we will have port-a-jons in all sections of the campground.Full hook-up sites will be reserved but may not have water available at the sites but will have electricity and sewer.Reservations can be made at HERE or by calling 866-644-6727Expectations will be that all amenities will be open April 1st but this is dependent upon the weather.
