Bellefontaine Police arrested Tiffany McMann, of Lakeview, on numerous charges Saturday morning after a traffic stop on the city’s west side.
Officers pulled over McMann after she was driving across the center line on Sandusky and Garfield Avenue.
Police could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the jeep.
McMann’s eyes were bloodshot and glossy. Her speech was slurred.
When asked about consuming alcohol McMann said she had two and a half beers. She later stated she had the beers and a shot of Crown Royal.
McMann agreed to field sobriety tests and failed. She was placed under arrest.
As officers returned to the jeep, the passenger, Jennnifer Vombaur of Bellefontaine, became agitated with the police.
She refused several commands to exit the vehicle and was eventually placed under arrest for public intoxication. She was also charged with resisting arrest for being unruly and trying to kick a police officer.
Police then found multiple open containers of alcoholic beverages in the jeep.
McMann was taken to the Logan County Jail on two charges of OVI, obedience to traffic control devices, marked lanes, and open container.
Her previous OVI convictions came in 2011, 2015 (2), and 2018.
