A Lakeview woman was killed in a three-vehicle accident on Route 33, near State Route 739 in Union County, early Wednesday morning just before 6 o’clock.
The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports Jessie Holladay, 38, was driving her 2006 Buick Lucerne east on 33 when she lost control of her vehicle and traveled across the grass median.
Holladay’s vehicle entered the westbound lanes of 33 and was struck by a 2013 Ford Flex, operated by Thomas Woodson IV, 26, of Marysville, and a 2015 Chevy Silverado, driven by Joseph Poling, 21, of Marysville.
Holladay was pronounced dead at the scene.
Woodson was transported to Memorial Hospital by Allen Township EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
Poling was not transported and sustained no injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
The State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Union County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation, Allen Township Fire and EMS, the Union County Coroner’s Office, American Towing, 24/7 Towing, and Kirby’s Towing.
The patrol reminds motorists to limit distractions while operating a motor vehicle.
