Ashlynn Carpenter, a senior from Benjamin Logan High School graduated from Marion Technical College on Friday, May 12 in their 51st Annual Commencement Ceremony. She is one of 22 College Credit Plus students that earned an associate’s degree at MTC while still in high school.
Ashlynn is the daughter of Charles and Stacy Carpenter of West Mansfield.
Now that Ashlynn has an Associate Degree in Business Management/Accounting, she plans to return to Marion Tech in spring 2024 to obtain a Bachelor’s in Business in Accounting through a 3+1 agreement with Franklin University.
Ashlynn had this to say about her experience, “I have liked being a full-time CCP student. This last semester was stressful for sure, but I don’t regret it for a moment! I would definitely recommend others do it if they feel like they can handle the workload. It’s a ton of effort, but worth it in the end. There are many benefits to CCP. My advisors at MTC and Benjamin Logan were super helpful and I feel like it would have been much more overwhelming to have to do everything on my own as a freshman in college. Nearly all of my classes were paid for, which is another amazing benefit to CCP.”
College Credit Plus is free for all public school students who wish to attend a public Ohio university or college.
